Leading low-cost airline Ryanair announced five new routes from Alicante to Dublin, Liverpool, London, Dusseldorf and Pisa on Tuesday at a specially convened press conference at El Altet airport.
It is expected that the routes will transport 370,000 passengers a year, providing 370 jobs and generating around 8 million euros a year in tourist spending.
Flights from London start on March 25, from Liverpool on April 19, and from Dublin on May 2.
